Hello! Ryder here with an update!

I have so much to tell you! The big, big news is (drum roll, please)………

I have a new furever home… AND a new name! You can call me Guinness!

My mom, Tricia, and dad, Bill, love me to pieces. Can’t you tell from these pics?! They give me a lot of love and attention and make sure I have everything I need to live the happiest life. I’ve come a long way from the streets and shelter, that’s for sure!

I want to send big hugs and kisses to my foster moms, Linda and Kay! And thank you to Kim for transporting me to Lone Star Westie Rescue!

Happy Tails!

Love,
Guiness

My name is Ryder but my friends call me Bo. I am a bundle of a super cute Yorkie Terrier mix approximately 14 pounds and estimated to be about 3-4 years young.  I was picked up as a stray and landed in a shelter but thanks to all the LSWR volunteers who got me to Big D.  I am a very healthy happy boy, love other furry friends and I have a charming personality and delightful demeanor, that I know anyone that meets me will fall in love.

My foster Mom says that I am the sweetest boy ever. I’m potty trained, like laps and I am a lovebug. My foster home is great, but I would love to have my very own family.  I’m scheduled to have a dental very soon and that’s it for this cutie patootie.

I am neutered, microchipped & current on my shots and I am ready for you!!

Hugs & kisses, Bo

Smart, Sweet Seelie!

Sweet Seelie here! It’s official… I have a new fur-ever home! Mama Dina and Papa William love me to pieces! I even have a new brother, Snoopy! We go on trips in the motorcoach, and I even sleep in bed with my paw-rents!

We are having the best time as one big happy family. I couldn’t have asked for more!

Happy tails!

Love,
Seelie

______________________________________________________

Happy Friday, everyone! My name is Seelie! I’m a playful, spunky girl and I turn 8-years old next month! Up until now, I’ve only known one home with a wonderful mom and dad who took great care of me. I’m spayed, microchipped, up to date on my shots and very healthy. Unfortunately, my mom & dad had to surrender me due to health issues and I found myself taking a road trip with a foster family. I loved riding in the car and it was fun having two foster westies riding along with me. Little did I know I’d be living with them. My first days, I have to admit, I was scared. But I am a very adaptable girl and I fit right into the routine here at my foster home. I love being around my foster fur friends, taking walks, lounging on the couch, playing fetch, and chasing those pesky squirrels in the backyard. I also love to cuddle and give kisses. My foster mom tells me that I have a lot of energy and that I’m a very good girl. I listen well and know a few commands. I have the run of the house when my foster parents are away and I behave exemplary. Check out my pictures – I’m told I’m a cutie! Maybe I’m the cutie for you!

Please ask LSWR about me! I’m ready to start life in my new fur-ever home! Submit an online application at www.lswr.us and mention your girl, Seelie!

XOXO,
Seelie

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Hi I’m Archie, an adorable Carin Terrier, and I’m 9 years young. Sadly, my owner’s medical needs prevented them from caring for me and I was surrendered to a local shelter. I can tell you, I miss my family very much but I was assured it’s all going to be good. I’m current on my vaccinations, neutered and microchipped, too. I’ve had a haircut and I feel GREAT!

I’m a 21 pound bundle of a fun loving strong & healthy boy. I’m smart too. I’m potty trained, walk great on a leash and I sleep in a crate! I’m on my way to my foster home so you’ll be hearing more about me soon.

So keep me in mind if you need someone with a little spunk and great personality to love, I’m your guy. You’ll soon discover what everyone has known all along about me…that Awesome Archie is a happy, sweet, gentle and all around wonderful companion! Hurry and visit lswr.us and submit your online application so we can start our new life together.

See you soon!
Awesome Archie

PS- What do you think of my before and after haircut pics?!

_________________________________________________________________

My name is Leo and I am a handsome 6 year old, Westie Maltese pup. It was with a broken heart that my family surrendered me to LSWR. As sick and sad as my Mom was, she only wanted the best for me and LSWR assured her that I would be okay.

I can tell you my foster mom says very good things about me & nothing negative!! I am so very sweet and very mindful. I adore people and enjoy the company of other small dogs. I’m a perfect gentleman, 14 pounds, neutered, current on shots and microchipped. I have certainly been loved and well cared for and still have so much love to give. I know I’ll make someone a perfect companion and best friend. I’m on a special diet that help with bladder stones but don’t let that scare you.

If you are looking for a great little guy, then jump on that application and let us hear from you! To complete an online application visit lswr.us or contact lswrvolunteers@verizon.net.

XOXO
LEO

Westie Wes! **ADOPTED**

wes-1

LSWR is excited to present our newest friend, Wes!

Wes is currently being fostered in Temple, Texas. He is about 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and gets along great with small & big dogs…. AND… he’s potty trained!

He was found as a stray and our friends in Temple asked LSWR if could take him in to find him a home. Of course, we said “yes!” Wes is very, very sweet little guy, per his foster mom. He even likes to hang out in the crate if the door is open!

If you’re interested in this little cutie, please complete an online application (or the application link can be found on the left side of our Facebook page) at www.lswr.us and mention Wes!

Thank you!
LSWR

Darling Dewey! **ADOPTED!**

Hi Friends,
I’m Dewey and the folks here in the Big D have given me the most heartfelt welcome I’ve ever seen! My current situation is temporary; it’s just until my forever family comes to pick me up. Until then I’m enjoying two meals a day, the company of fur-friends and my foster people. I love to play with the other fur-friends, but I like my space too. My foster Mom and Dad laugh every day because of my silly antics and I love all the attention! I’m male, about 2 years old, 23 lbs and in good health.
If you want a lovable, energetic boy to join your family, I’m your guy! I’m neutered, microchipped and up to date on all my vaccinations. I like other dogs, but I definitely need a home with no cats!
I’m ready to become your buddy so get your adoption application in to LSWR fast! Can’t wait to meet you!
Kisses and Nibbles,
Dewey

Amazing Annie! **ADOPTED**

Our precious, sweet, loving little Annie is now in her fur-ever home with her amazing new mom!

_____________________________________________________________
We have some Amazing Annie updates for you all on this Monday morning! Please take a moment to read all about this special little girl!
Through no fault of her own, Annie found herself wandering the streets of Dallas in early June. Raggedy and shaggy, she weighed 14 pounds, blind, had an injured left eye, possibly deaf, not spayed, had an upper respiratory infection, and had dental gum disease. She was so matted and flea infested, that the shelter had to shave her at intake.Imagine how afraid and alone she must have felt! No familiar smells; no familiar petting and the scent of fear everywhere! Just all alone!!! Heartbreaking!!! It was evident that this little sweetheart had been horribly neglected. Annie was CODE RED and there was no time to hesitate!
Estimated to be around 10 years of age, she was one of the lucky ones to make it out of the shelter alive. Just as our senior citizens are sometimes disregarded or brushed aside, so too are our senior pets. Annie came into foster care on 6/29 and spent her first few days at the vets getting over her upper respiratory infection. She arrived in her foster home on 7/2 and has blossomed! Since arriving in her foster home, Annie has learned to get around inside and out. Since sight is not a dog’s primary sense and dogs no matter what degree of lost vision or hearing or both, including total loss of both, go on living full lives in safe and secure homes.
Annie may not technically be able to hear… but she CAN hear!! She knows her name and her little tail does a happy dance when you tell her it’s time eat. She loves to eat and loves treats. She is a love-bug and snuggle bug. She is happy snuggling next to her human on the couch or sleeping next to another furry friend. Annie is also potty trained. Annie was recently spayed and had her left eye removed and she is recuperating beautifully and taking her meds like a champ. She is vaccinated and micro-chipped and will be having a dental in another month or so.
Annie, though horribly neglected in her past, has rebound amazingly well with the medical attention she needed, a good diet, and with TLC, something this little Sweetheart clearly had not had in a long time. She has a sweet, gentle soul, loves the company of dogs and people and a very special girl looking for that very special family.
Could your home be that special family for this sweet girl? Please complete an online application and ask for Annie!
