Sweet as a flower, bright as the sunshine… that’s our Posey
My name is Posey, and I’m an 8-year-old West Highland White Terrier with a snowy white coat, bright eyes, and a heart overflowing with love.
For most of my life, I knew the comfort of a family and the joy of being cherished. I had a dad who loved me, a place to call home, and a life that felt safe and familiar. Then, everything changed. When my dad passed away, the world I had always known was suddenly turned upside down. In the midst of heartbreak and difficult circumstances, his family made the loving but painful decision to surrender me to rescue, hoping I would be given the chance to find another family who could love me just as deeply.
Losing everything familiar has been hard. I miss the life I once had, the routines I knew, and the people I loved. But through it all, I remained a perfect houseguest with impeccable manners and a heart full of love.
My foster mom tells me I’m an absolute sweetheart and the complete package. I love spending time with my people, going for walks, and greeting visitors with excitement. Sometimes I’m so happy to see someone that I can’t help but bounce right up to say hello! I have a gentle, loving nature and enjoy being wherever my humans are. Whether it’s curling up beside you on the couch, snuggling near your bed, or simply following you from room to room, my happiest moments are the ones spent close to the people I love.
And if you’re looking for a well-mannered companion, I just might be your girl. My foster mom says my behavior is practically perfect. I’m house-trained, walk beautifully on a leash, come when called, and have wonderful manners in the home. I get along well with other dogs, welcome visitors happily, and am content simply being part of the family. At eight years old, I’ve outgrown the puppy mischief and settled into being a calm, loving, and easy-going companion.
Rescue has given me a second chance, and now I’m searching for my forever family. I’m not looking for anything fancy, just a warm home, a soft place to rest my head, and someone who will love me for the rest of my days. In return, I’ll give you unwavering loyalty, endless companionship, and a heart that will be forever grateful.
