My name is Toulouse and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.

Let me tell you about myself.  I’m 10 years young, very active, and extremely sweet.   I love to cuddle when sitting and touching with my human on the sofa.  I’m a very well behaved Westie,  I’m housebroken and know proper manners.   I get along great with other dogs big and small, kitty cats and I would really like a furry-sibling for a companion.  It doesn’t matter if my new bud is  a small doggie or big doggie – I like them all!

I’m really getting along terrifically with my foster sibs and I play a lot with the smaller doggie.  So if you are looking for a great looking Westie and mature guy to take walks with during the day and sit and watch movies with…than I’m your guy!

I’m seeking a family that will promise to cherish and love me so I can spend the remainder of my many wonderful years with you.

My name is Scotty and I have a wonderful personality, love to play, love being around my people and really enjoy playing with the other Westies.

I was a matted mess and a little stinky when I first arrived but not anymore!!  The shelter staff was wonderful and gave me plenty of kisses and assured me that someone would come rescue me.  The shelter staff contacted LSWR to ask if they’d take me into their rescue program and within a couple of hours, an LSWR volunteer picked me up, took me to the vet and then on to a spa treatment.  I was very sad, reserved and stressed at the shelter but that all changed in a matter of hours after I arrived in my foster home.  In fact, my foster mom said, I was so happy to be there that she couldn’t get me to stop for a picture.  Guess I am a party boy!  I am a very sweet Westie and I’m getting along with my foster Westie buddies.

I am 11 years young, well mannered and well behaved, not to mention adorable and sweet.  I like snuggling with my foster dad.  I am a beautiful boy, weighing in at 19 pounds, fully vetted, neutered and ready for a home where I will never be abandoned again.  I will be the perfect little pet for my new family.

I will give you my heart and love you forever.

Here is LSWR’s newest intake, Mitzi.  She is a Westie/Poo and will win your heart. Mitzi’s 86 year old mum passed away and Mitzi’s extended family knew that LSWR would find the perfect home for her.  Mitzi is a sweet, gentle 5 year old, but she is very shy and needs a home where she will be the center of attention and the only pet.

Look at me, I’m Wesley…but my friends call me Lil’ Wes.

If you’re looking for the best companion anyone could ever hope for, look no more, I am that and so much more.  I just arrived from a local shelter.  I am a young and vibrant 3 year old little Westie, weighing in at about 13 pounds.  I had skin and yeast infections when I was found by Operation Kindness, but thanks to the excellent vet care they provided me, I’m turning into quite the lil’ prince and my hair is growing back.  They gave me the best vet care possible, great meals, medicated baths and a nice soft bed to sleep in.  The shelter staff really loved me and cared for me before they called LSWR.

I figured out that I could get by with my sweet disposition and my looks.  Even while my hair is growing back, I am adorable!

I am crate trained and like to sleep there but I also enjoy lying on my foster mum’s lap and like it when she hugs and kisses me.  I walk great on a leash and am potty trained.  I LOVE toys and playing fetch.  I love to chase my toys and play tug o war.  Any toy you give me, I will love.  I am fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered.

Though I came from a very neglectful past, I am on the road to recovery.  I know a beautiful wiry Westie coat will come in time but this does not take away from my dashing good looks and my fun personality.  I have an incredibly sweet disposition and I am one happy little guy!  So if you are searching for one amazing little Westie, and a love bug….I’m your lil man!

To adopt, volunteer, or foster with Lone Star Westie Rescue (“LSWR”) you must complete our Online Application.  All applicants are carefully screened before we even consider adoptions, volunteering or foster homes.  We feel this process is in the best interest of our Westies.  We have a lot of  Westies that come through our program that range in all ages.  If we don’t have the age you are looking for it is still advisable to complete the Online Application so we can begin the screening process.  Thank you for your interest in LSWR and remember that there is nothing like a Westie.

Alex, an LSWR dedicated volunteer, is very crafty.  Alex made rope toys, beds, and blankets for the pets in our rescue program. Alex and her family have two 3 pets of their own and Alex has learned the importance of rescuing and helping animals.

Alex, along with her family, attend and volunteer at our events.  She is a great asset.

Update:

I’m a fine & sweet sweet westie by the name of Deuce. Sadly, I was taken to a shelter and sat patiently at the shelter. The nice lady at the shelter recognized what a sweet boy I was and gave LSWR a call. She said I was the sweetest 10 year old boy and knew that my life would be changed for the better once I joined LSWR.  It was a great day when a guardian angel came to get me and I joined LSWR.  I’ve been evaluated by the doctor and they found I had an ear infection; so they gave my Foster Mom some medicine. I have been neutered and had a dental and I’m ready for adoption.

I play like a puppy when it’s playtime and playing fetch is my forte. I also like just chilling with the family.  If you want a handsome westie that will make a wonderful addition to your family, please contact LSWR. I have lots of westie smooches to give my forever family.
